GST Pull-Down Assay Service
Service Features
GeneCreate offers GST Pull-Down detection services utilizing specific secondary antibodies for detection, effectively avoiding signal interference from antibody heavy chains and significantly improving detection results.
Service Introduction
GST Pull-Down utilizes known proteins with tags as bait proteins (most commonly GST tag, glutathione S-transferase). The bait protein specifically binds to glutathione affinity resin, capturing the bait protein and its interacting protein complexes when the target protein solution is passed through the column. After elution of the complexes, protein gel electrophoresis is used to analyze the interaction between the two proteins or to screen for corresponding target proteins.
Principle Overview

Service Advantages
- Specific binding: Achieves specific binding to target proteins through GST fusion, enabling screening and identification of interaction partners.
- High throughput: Capable of studying multiple protein interactions simultaneously, improving research efficiency.
- Simple and flexible: Easy to operate with adjustable experimental conditions according to needs.
- Direct detection: Detects protein interactions directly without additional labeling or modification.
- Quantifiable: Provides information on affinity and strength through quantitative analysis of binding events.
Service Process
Our GST Pull-Down service follows a rigorous 6-step process to ensure accurate and reliable results for protein interaction research.
Customer Requirements
Constructed expressed and purified target proteins and related bait proteins (can also be constructed by GeneCreate), or cell lysate supernatants containing bait proteins or other samples; detection primary antibodies (can also be provided by GeneCreate).
Samples should be stored frozen at -20°C and shipped with ice packs.
