Site Directed Mutagenesis Service
Service Features
GeneCreate offers high-throughput site-directed mutagenesis technology. Based on your specific mutation requirements, we can induce single or multiple base mutations in your plasmid template while preserving the integrity of the original sequence, including mutations, deletions, insertions, and inversions to help you achieve your experimental objectives.
Service Introduction
Site-directed mutagenesis refers to the intentional change of a single base at a specific position in a DNA molecule, typically achieved through genetic engineering methods to alter a specific site in the DNA sequence, resulting in specific genotypic and phenotypic changes. This technology has wide applications in life science research, medical treatment, and agricultural production. Through site-directed mutagenesis technology, genotypes with specific traits or functions can be generated, such as disease models, disease resistance, salt-alkali tolerance, etc. The emergence of site-directed mutagenesis technology provides a precise and efficient genetic engineering method for the life sciences field, offering researchers more experimental tools and research methods.
Service Advantages
- Sequence Accuracy: High-performance GS polymerase ensures the accuracy of mutants, avoiding unwanted mutations.
- Any Position: Using our advanced gene synthesis and mutagenesis technology, GeneCreate can introduce mutations at any position.
- Longer DNA Mutagenesis: Through technical optimization, we can introduce point mutations, insertion mutations, and deletion mutations on DNA up to 12 kb in length (including the target gene and its vector).
- One-Stop Solution: We provide comprehensive upstream and downstream services, including template DNA sequencing, gene synthesis, rapid cloning into free expression vectors, custom vector construction, and protein expression and purification.
Service Process
Customer Requirements
1. Customer provides the pre-mutation gene sequence and the post-mutation gene sequence, with mutation positions clearly indicated.
2. Information about the vector for inserting the target sequence, including sequence, resistance, sequencing primers, and cloning sites.
3. Samples:
▶ Template plasmid containing the target sequence, with information about the template plasmid's resistance.
▶ Target vector (if GeneCreate cannot provide the vector).
4. Chromatogram format sequencing report of the template plasmid section containing the target gene sequence (not the entire template plasmid sequencing report).
